DC Open Floor Plan Kitchen

The client wanted an updated kitchen with better space for entertaining, upgraded appliances and a view to the pool. The existing structure consisted of a variety of additions and a brick wall in the center of the house–opening up walls was the biggest challenge.  The new structural beams are now a focal point, defining the spaces at the removed walls. White simple shaker doors with vibrantly swirled black granite give visual interest, create contrast and provide ample prep, work, entertaining and eating counters.
