“Art Design and Build renovated two bathrooms and created an upstairs laundry for us. It was an outstanding experience. Cindy McClure designed elegant and practical rooms. The master bathroom has a large glass shower that can easily fit more than one. The bathtub is gorgeous. She also created a feature wall with a wisteria pattern matching the wisteria on the outer wall. The bathrooms were designed with safety in mind. My husband and I want to stay in our house as we age so we appreciate the attention to safety. Craig and Urias were the contractors. They arrived promptly at 7:00am each morning and left promptly at 3:00pm each day. This left us plenty of time to relax and prepare dinner. More important they were always courteous, meticulous and hard-working. We had a lot of laborious tile work in the bathrooms and it was done beautifully. We really can’t say enough good things about our experience.”

“We had a spectacular experience with Cindy McClure of Grossmueller’s Design Consultants. Our project involved pulling off the back of our house and building new space on three floors. But there’s so much to do AFTER you get the architect’s drawings. We didn’t know where to start. Cindy was the incredible solution. She helped us design our new kitchen and bathroom as well as contributing great design ideas to the rest of the house too, like adding beams to the new family room ceiling and built-in bookcases and drawers in the new FR and new BR. We had multiple meetings with her before the work started in which she walked us through all of the design decisions we needed to make – choosing cabinets, floor tile, wall tile, bathroom tile, wood flooring, faucets, stonework for counters and an island, lighting, fireplace surrounds and mantle pieces – even towel hooks, drawer handles, and paint colors. She really knows what she’s doing. She goes with you to the stores and helps you identify the options and make the final choice. She never pushed her preferences on us, she just got us to think about what we liked and make the decisions. Because she coached us through all the decisions we needed to make up front, there were no delays during construction while workers waited for us to pick something out or get it delivered. She knows code requirements, could answer any question about materials, and even caught errors in the construction drawings.”

We did a major renovation to our entire first floor and half our basement, including switching the location of the kitchen and other rooms. Our space was large but not laid out well for modern living. We came to Cindy and her team with a wish list for how we wanted our space to function and the outcome was exactly what we’d hoped for. Our living space is cozier, our kitchen suits our joy for cooking and fits our whole family, and our basement was transformed from basic and utilitarian to a more useful and functional part of our house. Grossmueller’s made it as painless as possible. They helped us with every step, from designing a new layout to fit our lifestyle, to choosing paint colors and furniture that suit our new spaces. It was a huge project but we were on time and within our budget. It is now a year later and they have, without a doubt, improved how our family functions at home.”

We came into our full kitchen renovation project with a fairly clear idea of what we wanted, but she took our ideas and gave us options in the way of variations on those themes that we would never have thought of. For example cabinet color and configuration, as well as backsplash. She was a conscientious steward of our budget, which was especially important. It can be intimidating to negotiate with various contractors and she was always available to interpret on our behalf. She was prompt and detailed in her responses to our emails and calls.
